Monday meetings planned for County Commission, City Council

The Barton County Commission will meet Monday morning and the Great Bend City Council will meet Monday evening.

The Barton County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main in Great Bend. The agenda includes a $1,000 economic development revolving loan for INA Alert Inc. in Ellinwood, proclamations for Colon Cancer Awareness Month and Severe Weather Awareness Week, and a High Risk Rural Roads Project Programming Request at the intersection of North Washington Avenue and North 30 Road, and on Northwest 50 Road.

The Great Bend City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the City Office, 1209 Williams. The agenda includes a report on the Kansas Wetlands Education Center from Director Curtis Wolf, a change order for the ongoing waterline replacement project and an economic development report from Great Bend Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development President Jan Peters.
