This past Thursday night was the last scheduled time the City of Great Bend Public Works Department sprayed for mosquitoes. However, Great Bend Street Superintendent Mike Crawford said they will continue on Thursdays June 9, 16, 23 and 30.

The spraying will last from 8 p.m. until Midnight, weather permitting. The schedule includes Thursdays May 12, 19 and 26, and June 2. 

Street Department personnel will apply insecticides from a fog machine mounted in pickup trucks running routes throughout the city.
