A Great Bend man received minor injuries Tuesday when he lost control of a motorcycle on NE 30 Road and U.S. 281.
The Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports that around 11:45 a.m., Ricky Lynn Ray, 28, was driving north on U.S. 281 when he saw a Chevrolet Silverado  was stopped in the roadway waiting to turn west. He did an evasive maneuver, losing control of the 2005 Kawasaki R motorcycle, laying it over and skidding into the ditch.
Great Bend Fire Department Ambulance responded; he was treated at the scene for minor injuries and released.
Kansas Highway Patrol, Great Bend EMS and Kansas Wildlife and Parks assisted the BCSO at the scene.
