The Rev. Scott Murphy will be the guest speaker for Aglow on Saturday,  April 8, at Perkins Family Restaurant, 2920 10th St. in Great Bend. Fellowship will begin at 9 a.m., followed by the meeting at 9:30 a.m.

Murphy is pastor at CrossPoint church in Great Bend. He was called into the ministry at age 16 about a year after he gave his heart and life to Christ. 

In the four decades since, he has worked in a few churches in Kansas and filled various positions, including serving as a church planter in northeast Kansas. He also had the privilege of spending two years in China as a “teacher.”

God has since called him to Great Bend to be the pastor of CrossPoint Church. Murphy tends to think of himself as more of a teacher/shepherd rather than a preacher/evangelist, but he absolutely loves to share the Good News of the Gospel with anyone who will listen.
