American Legion Unit 180 of Great Bend will host the National President, Sharon Conatser of Champaign, Ill., at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, at the local post home at 1011 Kansas Ave. Lunch will be served at a cost of $8.
American Legion family members and members of the community are invited to come out to hear what Conatser has to say when she visits the post, said Marianne Krallman, American Legion Auxiliary treasurer of Unit 180. “She is the leader of America’s largest women’s patriotic service organization. American Legion Auxiliary members have dedicated their time to honoring and supporting veterans, military and their families both here and abroad.”
