The grand opening of the apartment complex Reserves at Trail Ridge will take at 10 a.m. place Thursday. Senator Jerry Moran will be in attendance, along with other dignitaries. The public is invited to attend this community event.
The Reserves at Trail Ridge, located at 811 Grant Street, is a 48-unit complex with a club house facility. These units will be the first new apartments built in Great Bend since the late 1970s.
“This is an important development for our community and addresses a huge need for our area residents,” Great Bend Mayor Mike Allison said. “Housing has been one of the top priorities of the Great Bend City Council for several years, and this year we have accomplished that goal.”
This first phase of development features two- and three-bedroom apartments with wood cabinets, walk-in closets and other amenities such as a 24-hour fitness center, computer area, playground and basketball court. The property is within walking distance of shopping, schools and healthcare.
The complex was developed and built by Overland Property Group LLC. Based in Leawood and Austin, Texas. The company was founded in 2002, and handles the process from start to finish from market analysis and site selection to financing, design, construction, and management. The company had developed 40 properties with over 2,000 units and $250 million of both “affordable” and “market-rate” apartments.
“The quality of our developments across the Midwest is unlike most others. We have a very high standard of quality with regards to architecture, design, construction, and management,” said Overland’s Vice President of Development Matt Gillam. “This complex will cater to working class families, young professionals, students, and seniors.”
“It has been a great partnership with Overland Property Group,” Allison said. “We appreciate their desire to build a top-notch complex in Great Bend.”
