The Amazing 100 Miles Tourism Coalition will be hosting their 11th annual meeting on Nov. 18 at the Lucas Community Theater in Lucas. The event will begin with a Social Hour at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m.
The Coalition is excited to have Erika Nelson, for the guest speaker. Nelson is a motivational speaker and director of the World’s Largest Collection of the World’s Smallest Versions of the World’s Largest Things Traveling Museum. Her programs are both humorous and educational. She will present a slide show and talk about the way people create and use unique attractions to bring tourists to their area. Erika travels and presents throughout the United States. Hot off the press is the news that Erika will be traveling to Los Angeles in December to be a part of the new Conan Show.
The annual meeting location, The Lucas Community Theater, is a historic completely renovated movie theater that is run by volunteers. The meal will include smothered steak, vegetable, potato and dessert.
The public is invited to this dinner and meeting to network with people who are working hard for the future of tourism in this area. Call 785-658-2602 by Nov. 15 for reservations.
