KOC to hold breakfast feed

ELLINWOOD — The Ellinwood Knights of Columbus will hold a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 10 at the St. Joseph Parish Center, 110, W. 2nd in Ellinwood. A free will donation will be accepted. Proceeds will benefit people with Intellectual Disabilities. Sausage will be available for sale. CFD, EMS to hold open house

CLAFLIN — The Claflin Fire Department and EMS will hold its annual open house from 1 to 7 p.m. on Oct 9. They will do blood pressure checks and equipment demonstrations.

They will offer an even meal from 4 to 7 p.m. for a free will donation.

They will also offer drawing for cash prizes up to $500.

UMC to host delectable dessert debut

ELLINWOOD — Ellinwood United Methodist Church women will host a "delectable dessert" come and sample holiday evening with desserts and candies on Oct. 24 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The cost is $5 per plate. Recipes will be for sale.
