Lutheran church to hold breakfast

 

HOISINGTON — Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hoisington, will host its third annual hunters’ breakfast Saturday, Nov. 12, from 5 to 9:30 a.m (or until food runs out!). The menu will include biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, homemade breads, juice, and coffee.

The cost is $8 per person, with children age 5 and under free. In addition, there will be a raffle in conjunction with the hunters’ breakfast. There are more than 30 prizes some of which are gift certificates from local and area restaurants, a homemade quilt, gun racks, cash, and a Remington 870. Raffle tickets are $1 each and will be for sale at the breakfast. The drawing is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m. You need not be present to win.

 

Thanksgiving service to be held

 

HOISINGTON — The Hoisington Community Thanksgiving Service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 at the Living Joy Community Church, 354 W. 1st Street (1st & Vine).

The Hoisington Ministerial Assn. pastors will participate in the service. There will be refreshments following the service in the church basement. If steps are difficult for you, please come to the northeast corner of the building and enter up those steps. Call the church office if you have any questions at 620-653-2702.
