Central Plains Middle School is pleased to honor Kendi Maxwell as the April Student of the Month.  Kendi is the daughter of Jim and Kim Maxwell and is an 8th grade student at CPMS.  Kendi has one sister, Kami, a junior at Central Plains High School.
Kendi has been involved in volleyball, football, track, and band.  Some of her hobbies outside of school include playing softball, hunting, and fishing.  In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, going on road trips with her sister, and practicing for sports.
The student’s favorite subject in school is math.  When asked what she liked best about school, Kendi replied, “I like being with my friends and being challenged each day.  I also like playing sports.”
Kendi was nominated for Student of the Month for her work ethic and the positive example she sets for others.
“Kendi is a positive role model for other students at CPMS.   She always comes in with an upbeat attitude and a smile on her face.  She is very respectful toward staff members and other students, as I have witnessed her helping other students a number of times.   She displays a strong work ethic and leadership- both in and out of the classroom.  She is certainly deserving of this recognition,” said Rhiannon Becker, asst. principal.
Congratulations, Kendi, on being selected as the Student of the Month.
