ELLINWOOD — At its meeting this week, the Ellinwood District Hospital Board of Directors heard that usage of the facility and clinic is going up.

Chief Financial Officer Penny Stephenson reported a goal to increase visits to the clinic 25 percent in the last quarter was met.

Joyce Schulte, hospital administrator and CEO, reported that the mold cleanup project in the furnace room at the clinic had been completed along with carpet cleaning and duct cleaning at a cost of $4,095.

The board listened to financing options for the hospital improvement project. The board has not made any definite decisions and will hold another pubic meeting on the issue, said Schulte.

Also, the board approved a transfer from the district to the hospital for payroll.

Applications have been made for tax credits for hospital improvement project. The board will know if they are approved in three to four weeks.
