EHS placed 6th at forensics meet

ELLINWOOD — The Ellinwood High School Forensics Team placed 6th at a tournament held at Southeast of Saline on Saturday, Feb. 22.  
Rachel Schloctermeier placed 1st in Informative Speaking (Qualifying for State Championships) and 3rd in Original Oration.  Hannah Billinger placed 3rd in Prose Interpretation (Qualifying for State Championships) and 6th in Duet with partner Tamika Arndt.  Arndt also placed 4th in Serious Solo, and Shiani Hughes placed 5th.  At a tournament in Great Bend on Feb. 15, Billinger placed 5th in Humorous Solo.  Arndt placed 4th in Serious Solo and 6th in Original Oration.  Jacob Kasselman also competed.
The team competes next at Central Plains on Feb. 27 and at Lyons on March 1. The students are coached by Vance Stegman and Angela Petersen.
