Ellinwood Garden Club to host antique show

ELLINWOOD — The Ellinwood Garden Club will host an antique and collectables show and sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 1 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 2 at St. Joseph Parish Center. Appraisals will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Cost is $2, which is good for both days.

This is the 14th annual show with 17 dealers from five states, including Oklahoma, Nebraska, Missouri, Colorado and Kansas.

"One dealers will feature Indian artifacts, and there will be a nice selection of furniture, antique clocks and art glass," said Bill Starr of Starr Antiques. "There will be lots of antique items for purchase.

Rick Casagrande will be giving verbal appraisals on Oct. 2. He is a certified national appraiser who teaches classes on appraising antiques. Two items can be appraised per ticket.

Concessions will be available from the Ellinwood Garden Club, including homemade desserts.
