The Ellinwood Community Historical Society is hosting an antique appraisal evening with a dinner and a program by Rick Casagrande owner of Ellinwood Emporium. He is a certified appraiser of fine art and antiques and is a member of the International Society of Appraisers. The Thursday, Sept. 8, evening at the Senior Center in Ellinwood, 103 North Main, will begin with a dinner at 6:20 p.m. followed by the program. Dinner reservations are a must, but, the $8 dinner may be paid for at the door. For reservations call Yvonne at 564-3201 or Mary Jo Cunningham at 564-2242 by Sept. 6.

Casagrande asked that items to be appraised be brought to the Ellinwood Emporium at the corner of Santa Fe and Main Street in Ellinwood on Friday, Saturday or Tuesday. This will allow him to do research on the item and present a more accurate appraisal. The Ellinwood Community Historical Society is sponsoring the program.
