Ellinwood Police Department Monthly Report for October 2012
Approximately 98 calls for service and 108 officer initiated calls were received for the month of October. Officers responded to seven medical/fire calls and worked three non-injury accidents. Five arrests were made and four criminal summonses were served in the month of October.
Criminal and Accident Reports
Oct. 8
Corey Detter was arrested in the 100 block of Weiland for driving while suspended. Detter was transported to the Barton County Jail, where he was booked and confined in lieu of bond.
A burglary report was taken in the 200 block of East 2nd.
Oct. 9
An aggravated assault report was taken in the 500 block of South Humbolt.
A non-injury accident report was taken in the 100 block of East 1st.
Oct. 14
A criminal trespass, theft report was taken in the 300 block of West 3rd. Bryce Anderson was served a criminal summons for criminal trespass.
Oct. 19
A theft by deception report was taken in the 100 block of Wilhelm.
Oct. 20
Brenden Grauer was served a criminal summons for possession of cereal malt beverage, liquor by a person under 21 years of age.
Oct. 21
A battery, domestic violence report was taken in the 100 block of East 1st. The suspect had fled the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival.
A criminal summons was mailed to Russell Lane for battery, domestic violence.
Demitrius Johnson was served a criminal summons for dog running at large in the 100 block of Pohlman.
Oct. 23
Kurt Doll was arrested for contempt of court. Doll was transported to the Barton County Jail, where he was booked and confined in lieu of bond.
Oct. 24
A child in need of care, theft report was taken in the 200 block of East 2nd.
Tony Erskine was served a criminal summons for dog running at large in the 100 block of West 1st.
Oct. 26
A non-injury accident report was taken in the area of 6th and Fritz.
A hit and run accident report was taken in the 100 block of South Kennedy.
Oct. 28
Jacob Bauer was arrested in the 500 block of South Bismark on an Ellinwood Municipal Court Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of services. Bauer was transported to the Barton County Jail, where he was booked and confined in lieu of bond.
Oct. 29
Tracy Thacker was served a criminal summons for dog running at large in the 500 block of South Humbolt.
John Schmidt was arrested in the 500 block of South Humbolt on a Sedgwick County Warrant for probation violation. Schmidt was transported to the Barton County Jail, where he was booked and confined in lieu of bond.

Vaughn Jenkins III was cited in the 200 block of West 1st for  no proof of motor vehicle insurance.
Leona Marbut was cited in the 300 block of West 7th for speeding.
Margaret Flint was cited in the 300 block of West 7th for speeding.
Oct. 13
Maria Cavender was cited in the 10 block of Goethe for driving while suspended, no proof of motor vehicle insurance and illegal tag.
Oct. 15
Mason Roach was cited in the 300 block of West 7th for speeding.
Oct. 29
Jillian Martin was cited in the 300 block of West 7th for speeding.
