ELLINWOOD — From June through July, the Ellinwood school district will be offering free lunches for children ages one to eighteen at Ellinwood High School commons area from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
This is a federal program administered through the state, and there is no cost for children. For adults, the cost is $3.15.
Those age 5 and under must be supervised by someone older than 14.
A hot, nutritious meal will be made by the food service staff.
“I felt like we needed it in the community,” said Superintendent Ben Jacobs. “I am excited about it and hope kids take advantage of it.”
