HOISINGTON — Hoisington High School student Austin Stout, senior, auditioned and got accepted to perform in the Southwest Kansas Music Educators Association district honor band. On Saturday, Dec. 3, he will be traveling to Dodge City high school to perform with all the other students from the southwest district who got accepted into this ensemble.

Ellinwood announces trash pick up schedule

ELLINWOOD — Trash pickup in Ellinwood for the week of Nov. 21 will be Monday for the east side and Tuesday for the west side. There will be no trash service on Thursday and Friday due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
