KOC to hold poker tournament

 

HOISINGTON — The Hoisington Knights of Columbus, 114 N. Main, will hold a Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament to raise funds for area charities. The tournament will be held at 7:30 p.m. on March 5 at the KOC Hall.

 

City to meet on Monday

 

HOISINGTON — The City of Hoisington will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 28. On the agenda is a welcome to Curt Colson, new CEO of Clara Barton Hospital, utility ordinance 1457, website, consideration of transient guest tax, city radio conversion, vending contract and mower birds.

There will also be a tour of the city clerk’s office and municipal building.

 

Kaiser on Dean’s Honor Roll

 

Listed on the Dean’s Honor Roll at Bethany College was Brianna Kaiser, a senior from Hoisington. She was named as one of the 179 students for the college’s fall 2010 Dean’s Honor Roll.

To be recognized, a student must be full-time with a semester grade point average of at least 3.50 on a four-point scale for the fall semester.

 

Hoisington Revitalization meeting to be held

 

Hoisington Main Street Inc. will hold a community meeting at 7 p.m. on March 16 at the Hoisington Activity Center, 1200 Susank Rd.

The meeting was originally scheduled for Jan. 31, but was canceled due to a snow storm.

The results of the December survey on ideas about what people liked best and least regarding Hoisington’s downtown will be discussed.

Those who did not complete the survey can go to hoisingtonmainstreet.org and complete the survey.
