Holyrood resident killed in farming accident

Kammeron Haggerty, 16, of Holyrood died Saturday in a farming related accident.
According to the Ellsworth County Sheriff’s office, they received a call at 6:56 p.m. Oct. 12 that there was an tractor running in unattended in rural Ellsworth County.
Officer’s responded, and at 7:15 p.m. found they the body over a mile from the tractor.
“It appears to be a farming related accident,” said Tracy Ploutz, Ellsworth County Sheriff. “Everything points to a farming related accident.”
He said that the accident is still under investigation.
Haggerty was a student at Central Plains High School.
