Read across America To celebrate Read Across America Day, 54 students from Lincoln Elementary in Hoisington traveled across town to Roosevelt Elementary to read Dr. Seuss books to the pre-school through 2nd grade students. Four to six students read to each classroom by working in two person teams with one person reading and one person holding up the other copy of the book so students could see the illustrations as well. Students then switched and the other student read and the other student showed the illustrations to the students. This activity was enjoyed by the Lincoln readers as well as the students that were read to at Roosevelt Elementary. Pictured above are Lincoln students Jarrett Shives, holding the book, and Hayden Gardner, reading the book to a Roosevelt kindergarten class. - photo by COURTESY PHOTO Latest Kudos for Dudek's koi paintings Catch monarchs at Quiviras Monarch Mania Sunflower Diversified pancake dinner sets new record Ellinwood Municipal Court Docket - June 14
