Straw for Kids and Klowns A group of hard-working individuals with big hearts gathered at the farm of Jerry Stoss to bale and pickup straw bales to donate to Kans for Kids and the Hoisington Labor Day Clowns. Max Schroeder, Hoisington, baled the straw. The bales are available for purchase for a suggested donation of $6 per bale. Proceeds from the sale of the straw will be divided equally between the two groups. One hundred and fifty bales were picked up by Jerry, Dana and Gus the Dog Stoss, Duane Reif, Luke Wornken, Cole Birzer and children, Nick Lomas and son, Rantz Roland, Chance Boor, Makale McAnulla and Chad Elliott. The straw is in dry storage at the United Ag Co-op, 202 E. Railroad, Hoisington (620-653-4941) for anyone needing it.
