Teachers' present
Pictured above are Della Boxberger, Bridget Schneweis, and Becky Andereck, from Roosevelt Elementary in Hoisington. All three teaching staff presented during a session at the MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) Conference last week. The Roosevelt teachers explained the process that is used at Roosevelt to teach Reading, and also shared some of the materials that are used by the Roosevelt staff. All students at Roosevelt receive 90 minutes of core reading instruction each day and 30 minutes of intervention time each day. During the 30 minute intervention time students receive explicit instruction based on their individual needs. 1,200 educators from across the state of Kansas attended the seminar at Wichita.
