HOISINGTON — At its regular meeting on Monday, USD 431 considered sharing the cost of purchasing a artificial turf machine that does deep cleaning with Great Bend and the junior college. The Hoisington High School football field is artificial turf.
The cost would be approximately $4300.
The key to longevity with the turf is keeping it upright. The board agreed that it would be a good idea, but wanted a letter of understanding on what usage would be allowed.
In other business, the board:
•Approved two out of district transportation requests.
•Approved payment of transportation charges for the FCCLA for four individuals to travel to the National Convention in Florida, not to exceed $1300.
•Approved payment of registration fees for three teachers for a conference in Las Vegas.
•Approved eight grants for $375 each.
•Approved certified staff, supplemental and classified contracts. They accepted one resignation.
