RUSSELL — Artists at Barton Community College got a chance to showcase their talents at the annual Russell Original Art Review Exhibition at the Russell 4-H Building. The show ran Oct. 11-13 and several Barton students received awards.
The show had 235 entries from 83 artists from 27 cities.  BCC art instructor Steve Dudek took first place in the professional watercolor category and Barton Student Life Director Diane Engle earned honorable mention in the same category. Jay Miller of Great Bend received first place in photography and Engle received second. Barton music instructor Karole Erikson took home honorable mention in the computer generated category.
In the amateur division, Deb Clothier took second place in watercolor and Virginia Bitter took second place in sculpture.
