Barton County Sheriff’s Office responded to two injury accidents Sunday, one in the morning and one during the night.
At 11:05 p.m., a 1991 Oldsmobile driven by Jeremy W. Raybern, 24, of Great Bend, slid off the 1100 block of East Barton County Road, entered the ditch sideways and rolled onto its top.
According to the BCSO report, Raybern said he drank about three beers about two hours before the crash. He had large cuts to the left side of his forehead and above his eye. He was transported to Ellinwood District Hospital by Ellinwood Emergency Medical Service, and later transported to a Wichita hospital for further treatment. According to the report, Raybern refused testing at the hospital.
Two passengers in the car refused treatment at the scene and were listed as not injured. All were wearing seat belts.
A spokesman for Wesley Medical Center in Wichita said Raybern was in fair condition Monday afternoon.

The morning accident occurred around 5:20 a.m., but it took awhile to find.
Jeremy W. Northcutt, 23, of Rush Center, rolled a 1997 Chevy pickup, 1/2 mile east of NW 130 Road and NW 90 Road. The accident was first reported to have occurred in the area of the Boyd Road curves (NW 80 Road and NW 40 Ave.), and it was reported that the driver was trapped under the truck. After relatives called 911, Northcutt talked to dispatch via telephone just before 5:30 a.m., claiming he was not involved in an accident and was home in bed sleeping. However, another relative said Northuctt was indeed injured and was lying because he was afraid of losing his Commercial Driver’s License.
When Verizon pinged the cell phone for law enforcement, officers knew he wasn’t at home in Rush County. They found him around 5:54 a.m., sitting on top of the truck, which had rolled onto its right side.
It was determined that Northcutt had been westbound on NW 90 Road when the truck entered the south ditch and traveled 256 beet before hitting an embankment for a field drive. It continued across the drive, landing on its side. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Northcutt was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital by Hoisington Ambulance Service. The BCSO reports the accident is still under investigation pending results from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation for driving under the influence.
