This weekend, the Big Bend Bike Rally offered the most fun to be had on two wheels.

Friday and Saturday saw hundreds of motorcyclists gather at the Expo Complex west of Great Bend for bike games, the All Harley Drag Races and Run What You Brung Races. Live music, concessions and a beer garden where also among the attractions.

The three-day event concludes today. Gates open at 8 a.m., and after a brief devotional services by the Christian Motorcycle Association there will be a free breakfast served until 10 a.m.

The Big Bend Bike Rally Poker Run, sponsored by Bikers of Central Kansas, will begin at 10 a.m. with the last bike in at 4 p.m. After drawing the first card, poker run participants will leave the Expo Complex and enjoy a scenic ride around Lake Wilson before heading to the K-18 Cafe in Lucas. Next riders will travel west on K-18 to U.S. 281, where they will head south to the Fossil Fueling Station in Russell. Riders will continue west on I-70 to Hays taking the Vine St. exit to Toby Jug’s Bar. The last leg of the poker run will bring riders back to the Expo Complex to draw their final card.
