Three Great Bend residents remain in jail following a drug raid a home near downtown Great Bend Friday morning. Authorities also found evidence of possible counterfeiting and forgery.
Taken into custody were Danielle Reed, 24, Joy Wetig, 33, and Tyler Bowers, 23. All three were arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine. Bowers was also arrested on three City of Great Bend warrants and one Barton County warrant, all for failure to appear (at a court appearance).
Great Bend Police Department Detective Scott Bieberle said GBPD officers with assistance from the Barton County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 1706 Williams at around 11 a.m. Friday. In addition to the apprehensions, narcotics were found, as well as the evidence of financial crimes.
All three face only drug-related charges for now, Bieberle said. However, other charges may be forthcoming and the case remains under investigation.
