Explore the night sky and see the stars at Cheyenne Bottoms and the Kansas Wetlands Education Center on Friday, Nov. 8. Fall provides some excellent views of the night sky and various stars, constellations, and planets will be viewed and discussed.
Members from the Fort Hays State University Astronomy Club will provide telescopes and assistance in identifying constellations and other astronomical features. Cookies, hot chocolate, and coffee will be served. The free program begins at 7 p.m. and will continue into the night.
Preregistration is requested, by calling the KWEC at 877-243-9268 before November 6.
Participants are encouraged to dress warmly and bring a comfortable chair if desired. In case of cloud cover or bad weather, participants will be contacted and the event will be rescheduled.
