Barton County Road and Bridge Director Dale Phillips offered some winter weather advice to motorists during Monday morning’s Barton County Commission meeting – as long as it continues to snow, keep the headlights on.
There have been a number of near misses across the state as snow-removal equipment operators suddenly had to avoid hitting vehicles they didn’t see. The drivers had not turned on their lights.
This is important on any road still obscured by snow, Phillips said. If in doubt, he said err on the side of caution.
