One vehicle wreck occurs

A one vehicle wreck occurred in the 300 block of north Washington, Great Bend, at 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. The vehicle was south bound on Washington when it lost control, entered the east ditch backwards, striking the culvert and then rolling onto its top, according to a news release by the Barton County Sheriff’s office.

The driver was Eric Tauscher, Hoisington. He was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital. He was treated and released. Tauscher was wearing a seatbelt.

Passenger Jennie Hollercamp, Hoisington, was ejected from the vehicle and transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital. She was treated and released. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

The accident is still under investigation by the Barton County Sheriff’s office.

Tauscher was driving a 1999 Plymouth Breeze.
