Great Bend Police are investigating a report of an aggravated kidnapping.

A man contacted the police late Sunday morning, saying that three white males came to his residence in the 2900 block of Lakin Ave. around 4 p.m. on Saturday and forced him into a vehicle. He said he was taken into the country, west of Great Bend, where the alleged kidnappers battered him and threatened to hurt his family. According to a statement released by Sgt. Scott Bieberle, "the subjects then let the victim leave the location where the incident took place, and the victim was able to make it back to Great Bend on his own."

Call logs show the same man was at Great Bend Regional Hospital at 9:41 p.m. Saturday and said he was taken against his will by a known person, but he refused to talk to officers at that time.

The case remains under investigation and anyone with any information is asked to call the Great Bend Police Department, 793-4120. Tips may also be made anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers, 792-1300.

No additional information was available at press time.
