Police investigate shots fired

Shots were fired Monday morning outside the Walnut Plaza apartments, the Great Bend Police Department reports. No one was injured, but property was damaged.
Officers were dispatched to the apartments, located at 2611 27th St., at 7:49 a.m. Witnesses said they heard three or four shots fired and looked outside. Two occupied vehicles were in the parking lot. One was an older, beat-up pickup that was brown or blue, and the other was a small, newer, dark blue car. Witnesses said the people in the vehicles were white.
One apartment window and one car window were broken, another car had a bullet hole in the back and there was a bullet hole in a nearby door.
