Two candidates have been identified for the opening of the Barton Community College Executive Director of Institutional Advancement, which oversees the Barton Foundation.
Lindsey Bogner of Hoisington and Steve Webster of Great Bend will be introduced to the Barton Community College employees and the public at two upcoming forums.
Bogner’s forum is scheduled for 2:30-3:30 p.m., Feb. 17.
Webster’s forum is scheduled for 2:30-3:30 p.m., Feb. 19.
Both forums will be held in F-30, the Seminar Room of the college’s Fine Arts Building.
Each candidate will give a presentation introducing themselves and commenting on the assets they would bring to BCC and the Barton Foundation. Following the presentations, there will be time for each candidate to address questions from the audience.
A search committee was formed to fill the position after the former director, Darnell Holopirek, announced plans to retire at the end of the year. Dave Barnes, director of BCC’s Shafer Art Gallery, is chairman of the search committee.
“The position of Executive Director of Institutional Advancement is absolutely key to the continued success of Barton Community College and of the wellbeing of the Barton Foundation,” said Barnes. “These forums are part of our commitment to keep the entire community informed about and engaged in the search process.”
