Great Bend Police are investigating an incident that reportedly ended with shots being fired into the air in the southeast part of town.

Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Pine Street at 8:45 p.m. Monday. A man said he had been standing in his front yard, arguing with a man he knew, who was on a bike in the front yard by the fence. The first man said he had a bat in his hand and the other man pulled a gun and pointed at him. The man on the bike reportedly rode off to the south and fired the gun into the air.

The reporting party said two other men in a Hummer were also there at that time, yelling, but they also left.

The incident is still under investigation and anyone with any information is asked to called the Great Bend Police Department, 793-4120. Calls may also be made to Crime Stoppers, 792-1300, or 888-305-1300.
