Two injured in rural accidents

Travis Eugene Hall, 31, of Garfield, was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Pawnee County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol online crash logs, Hall was in an eastbound pickup on H Road, two miles east of U.S. 183 (six miles north of Garfield) at 1:15 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the ditch. It struck an embankment and rolled four times, ejecting the driver. Hall was transported to Via Christi Medical Center’s St. Francis Hospital in Wichita via Eagle Med air ambulance.

A spokesman at Via Christi said Hall was in critical condition Monday afternoon.

Another injury accident occurred Monday morning in Stafford County. Paula Frenandez, 56, of Great Bend, was taken to Great Bend Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries following a two-vehicle accident at 9:30 a.m. about three miles north of Macksville.

According to the KHP, a Chevrolet truck driven by Kara D. Neidig, 23, St. John, collided with a Dodge Dakota driven by Cassandra A. Fernandez, 28, Great Bend, at the intersection of NW 120th Ave. and NW 30th St. Paula Fernandez was a passenger in the Dakota.
