Ninja course opening reset to June 5
Ninja course opening delayed

The grand opening of the Great Bend Recreation Commission’s Ninja Course and Rock Wall has been rescheduled from this week to Wednesday, June 5. The Ninja Course is located in the My Backyard Playground at the GBRC Activity Center, 2715 18th St.

The grand opening will start at 11:45 a.m. on June 5, when food will be served. The ribbon cutting is set for 12:30 p.m.

Sponsors said the grand opening was postponed from the May 30 date due to weather. “We appreciate your patience and understanding as we made the necessary adjustments to ensure a successful and enjoyable event for everyone,” a news release stated.

The grand opening will feature:

• Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony: Officially open the Ninja Course with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at 12:30 p.m.

• Giveaways: Ninja headbands and other giveaways will be given out to the first 100 participants.

• Food and Refreshments: A jambalaya meal will be provided for the first 200 participants.

• Special Guests: Meet special guests and community leaders who have supported this project.

“We look forward to celebrating this wonderful addition to our community with you. Bring your family and friends for a day of fun and festivity!”
