Enrollment for school districts Barton and Pawnee counties has begun. Some school districts have already begun accepting online registration for the 2019-2020 school year, but most are continuing to offer in-person opportunities. This year, Hoisington is moving to a completely online registration format, with live assistance available. Ellinwood is accepting applications to the district’s free and reduced nutrition program online.

Hoisington

Online enrolment for USD 431 begins Monday, July 29, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 4. All parents with returning students will access the online form from home or through the District Office with their PowerSchool Parent Account. Instructions are provided at the online enrollment link on the USD 431 website, www.usd431.net. For families without access to a computer or the internet at home, or simply needing help navigating the form, assistance will be available at the District Office Monday through Friday during enrollment week from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on a drop in basis. Families new to the district will need to contact the District Office (620-653-4134) to set an appointment to begin the online process.

Fees can be paid online through the District Web Store, or in person at the District Office during the week. A complete list of district documents, including school supply lists by school, is also available on the website.

Parents can fill out applications for the free and reduced lunch program online, but will need to print out the application and bring it to the District Office. Print copies are also available at the District Office

A link to the online registration form can be found at the USD 355 website, www.usd355.org. Parents will be asked to sign in with existing contact information, or create an account. One account per household is suggested. An email account is needed, which can be obtained for free, the website suggests, through Google or Yahoo.

Those without access to the internet can attend live registration. Registration for all schools is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 6, and Wednesday, Aug. 7 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ellinwood High School commons.

A link to the EZMeal app is also available at the USD 355 website. The app is made available through Harris School Solutions, a private company that provides a variety of applications to school districts ranging from the application for free and reduced lunches to school fee collection apps.
