The Office Products Inc. (OPI) location in Russell has been celebrating its fifth anniversary and staff members were recently commended for the store’s success.
Kenny and Terry Vink, OPI co-owners, awarded the Russell employees with a certificate of “appreciation for serving our loyal customers for five years.”
Dannie’ll Heaton, sales representative, said the certificate was a welcome follow-up to the store hosting a Russell Chamber of Commerce Coffee and Business After Hours.
“It is gratifying to be recognized by the store’s owners but equally important is the positive feedback we hear from our customers every day,” Heaton said. “They tell us how much they appreciate the convenience of shopping locally instead of spending time on an out-of-town trip. Their loyal support has been fantastic.
“In addition,” Heaton noted, “customers appreciate the personal visits from us at their businesses. We offer free delivery and can take orders while we are there. Or we can just chat and become better acquainted. We value these personal relationships so we can better understand their office supply and equipment needs.”
Heaton’s colleagues at the 724 N. Main location are Gentry McLeland, sales representative; Frank Alexander, sales and delivery; and Jim Grabbe, sales manager.
“This is a great crew,” Heaton commented. “Each of us understands the importance of going above and beyond for our clientele. This type of teamwork plays a major role in OPI’s success. By working as a unit, we can better serve customers by providing the items they need quickly and efficiently.
“A lot of credit should go to the Vink family,” she added. “They are committed to the Russell area and to keeping local stores open. They define the concept of customer service.”
In addition to Russell, the store serves Gorham, Dorrance, Bunker Hill, Wilson, Ellsworth, Natoma, Waldo, Lucas, Luray, Sylvan Grove and Osborne.
Products include office supplies and furniture, printers, computers and a full line of Canon copiers. While small print jobs can be done in-house, larger print orders can be sent to Great Bend for processing.
OPI’s other locations are 1204 Main in Great Bend and 516 Broadway in Larned.
