Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made four ambulance runs on Wednesday, there was one fire call.
At 10:33 p.m. units responded to a gas leak at 305 Kiowa. Upon arrival found evidence that a natural gas riser had been struck by a vehicle. Gas was being released freely, Kansas Gas Service was notified. Fire units were able to place a gas plug in the broken pipe and stop the flow.

Great Bend Police
Medication was stolen at 1101 Kansas Ave.
Officers responded to a subject selling guns at 4008 10th St., upon arrival of the officer the subject fled on foot but was caught a short time after. Zack Gadiss was booked for possession of stolen guns, methamphetamine, and obstruction.
Theft of gas at Casey’s General Store at 2716 10th St.
Identity theft was reported at 1446 Lakin Ave.
Criminal damage was reported at 1801 Jackson Ave.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer at K-4 and NW 60 Ave., no injuries reported.
A forklift hit two trucks at 198 N U.S. 281, no injuries reported.
A non injury accident occurred at 180th and Michaelis.
A vehicle hit a deer at SE 60 ave and U.S. 56, no injuries reported.
