I would like to urge each of you to vote in the upcoming city election on April 2. Again this year, I am running for the office of Council for the Third Ward. Although many of you know me, I would like to give those people who do not some personal information’ about me.
I was born and raised in Barton County, spending my early years in Ellinwood. I moved to Great Bend in 1976 becoming a business owner as a cosmetologist. Since that time, I have been very active in the community, benefitting both my business through the network I have created and benefitting the community I love. My community activities include: Chamber Ambassador, Board Member of Convention and Visitor Bureau, Board Member of the Family Crisis Center, member Noon Lions Club, member of the Prince of Peace parish, Chairperson for the State
Board of Cosmetology, volunteering for many other civic activities, and, of course, your City Council member.
As the Third Ward council person, I am always working to make sure that current residents and businesses are provided with the best government and quality of life. I am also always working to prepare Great Bend for the future. Making sure that the infrastructure is in place for new businesses, and new residents, is extremely important for our growth and prosperity.
I would love to continue as your representative on the Council. I enjoy the work I do and I feel I do make a difference. I urge you to take advantage of your right to vote on April 2.
