Panther bands spring concert recognizes seniors, parents, accomplishments

Panther band members will present their spring concert at 7 p.m. on  Monday in the Great Bend High School gym. The band seniors and their parents will be recognized, as well as all of the band student’s achievements during the year. Selections the Panther jazz band will play are “String of Pearls,” “Chameleon,” “Swing Shift” and “Spain. Junior varsity band members will perform “Farnfare for the Third Planet,” “Salute to Beethoven,” “Pevensey Castle,” and a medley from the movie, “Cars”. Varsity band members will play “Amparito Roca (Spanish March),” “Celtic Suite,” “Into the Storm,” and a medley of songs from “Shrek”.
The bands are directed by Mark DeWald and he is assisted by Austin Russell. The concert is free to the public and everyone is invited to attend.
