All members of the Beta Sigma Phi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Master met for Beginning Day at the home of President Alice Clapsaddle. Following the supper cooked over an open fire, members reviewed the coming year’s activities and adopted the 2010-2011 budget. With regret, Loretta Paulson was granted a leave of absence. The president thanked Merlene Baird and Rosie Rein for hosting the summer social in July and Marcia King for her outstanding contribution in saluting our beloved sister, Marty Buster. Members attending the memorial service placed a yellow rose on her casket. The meeting ended by drawing for Secret Sisters for the coming year.

The next meeting will be at the rural home of Julie Ford at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 13.
