LARNED — The Larned swimming pool is officially going to the dogs. For the eighth year in a row, the pool will end its season with the popular Dog Days of Summer.
The Pawnee County Humane Society’s 8th annual Dog Swim is scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Schnack Park in Larned.
There is a $5 fee for each dog, but humans are admitted free. For the safety of dogs and humans, participating dogs are required to have current vaccinations and must get along well with people and other pooches. Dogs should be on a leash when not in the pool.
