Dawn Skelton, co-owner of Country Seasons Flower Shoppe, showed Chamber Coffee Hour attendees Thursday a large inventory and many other improvements and changes at the store. Items have been rearranged, and the front/facade of the building has been enlarged and beautified.

In business now for nearly four years, Country Seasons is more than "just" a flower shop, she pointed out.

It’s hard to carry a lot of "stuff," items, inventory when you are just starting a business, but if it was perceived as being "short" on goods sometimes in the past, that’s certainly not so now, Skelton said.

Some folks from Dodge City, en route home from Great Bend via Larned, stopped at the store on a recent evening, and were delighted with what they saw. They were impressed, and said they would tell everyone they knew in Dodge City about Country Seasons.

The store’s motto, on the front of the building, is: "A Bit of Country — A Lot of Style."

Dawn and her sister, Lori, own and operate the store. Items sold there include, but are not limited to, Miche bags, jewelry, Wind and Willow products, Bean Pod and Woodwick Candles, Willow Tree Angels and Aspen Mulling Spice.

There will be no coffee hour Thursday, the 11th, Veterans Day. A parade on Broadway and other activities are scheduled. The next coffee hour will be at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, with the "Angel Tree folks," on Nov. 18.
