TOPEKA — Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility employees Jennifer Wyman, Todd Wilmoth and Dr. J.L. Fernando were honored Wednesday at a reception at the governor’s residence. They were named LCMHF Employees of the Second Quarter.
Wilmoth was unable to attend the event.
Wyman and Fernando joined 27 other employees of the Kansas Department of Corrections who were honored by the governor and Ray Roberts, corrections secretary, at the ceremony. The event marked the first statewide Employee of the Quarter honors, recently initiated by Brownback.
Wyman was named LCMHF Uniformed Employee of the Quarter. Wilmoth was selected LCMHF Non-uniformed Employee of the Quarter. Fernando was honored as a Contract Employee of the Quarter.
“The effort to ensure public safety and the effort to help offenders turn their lives around go hand-in-hand,” said Governor Sam Brownback. “We express our appreciation for the important work of our corrections employees in Kansas.”
