LINDSBORG — Hesston Collin Martin and Isaac Penner won No. 1 singles and No. 2 singles and captured the Central Kansas League tennis tournament with 78 points.
Sterling’s Andrew McPherson and Brian Walker won the title at No. 2 doubles and Kyler Comley and Kenan Comley were singles runners-up and the Black Bears finished runner-up with 69 points. Smoky Valley’s Grant Dahlsten and Garrett Roth won No. 1 doubles and the Vikings placed third with 60 points.
Hoisington finished fifth with 36 points and Larned placed eighth with 14 points.
Hoisington’s Cameron Davis, a returning singles state qualifier, finished fifth with a 9-2 victory over Haven’s Rian Borntrager at No. 1 singles. Larned’s Jack Anderson placed seventh with a 9-2 win over Hillsboro’s Josh Funk.
At No. 2 singles, Smoky Valley’s Jon Dahlsten defeated Hoisington’s Austin McHenry 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 for third place. Kingman’s Caleb Krehbiel defeated Larned’s Steven Tran 9-3 for fifth place.
At No. 1 doubles,  Hoisington’s Brennan Knapp and Jacob Satterlee finished seventh with a 9-0 win over Hillsboro’s Jacob Isaac and Brandon Wiebe.  
At No. 2 doubles, Hoisington’s Tagan Brown and Kirk Reisner placed fifth with a 9-2 win over Kingman’s Adrian Schonlau and Thomas Hepner. Larned’s Trevor Coulson and Cadin Limon placed eighth with a 9-8 (7-3) loss to Haven’s Jacob Shadoin and Justin Carlson.
