The Kansas Room in Jordaan Memorial Library is a collection of books by Kansas Authors and information about Kansas History.  Newspapers printed in Larned are on microfilm and a reader printer is available to read the papers.  There is also information on pioneer families in Pawnee County.
Some of the books in the Kansas Room are non-circulating and must be used in the Library but most can be checked out.
NEW BOOKS
“Starting Over: The Making of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Double Fantasy,” by Ken Sharp is an oral history and the definitve account of the last days of John Lennon’s last days. The book includes archival interviews  of Lennon and everyone involved in the release of the Double Take Album.  The book features never before seen candid photos of John  and Yoko in  the studio.
Piper Donovan her acting career on hold moves back home and begins to work in her parents’ bakery.  She agrees to decorate a wedding cake for the acclaimed star of a daytime drama.  When someone close to the bride to be is murdered it is clear someone is determined to stop the wedding.  Piper appeals to her former Jack, who just happens to be an FBI agent.  Together they move in on the suspect in “To Have and To Kill,” by Mary Jane Clark.
AFT agent Sean Ozburn is deep undercover in the North Baja Cartel when he suddenly goes completely dark.  Carlie Hood and the support team from Operation Blowdown have a safe house full of bodies and no explanation.  In the following days the only communication from Sean is a series of haunting digital videos to his wife Seliah. It’s up to Charlie to discover if Oz is simply chasing the demons deeper undercover or has suffered a permanent break with his mission in “The Border Lords,” by T. Jefferson Parker.
