LARNED — “A Family Reunion to Die For” was presented by Over Actors’ Anonymous of Larned High School in partnership with Prairie Arts Unlimited.
From a troupe of mimes to a comic book enthusiast, who portrayed his favorite comic book characters, the Knight Crusader, Yak Man, and Princess Gracie Gumdrop, to a grouchy old cook to a bitter journalist, the murder mystery comedy, “A Family Reunion to Die For,” had something for everyone who stepped into the Knights of Columbus Hall Sunday,  Oct. 9.  
Following the dinner, provided by the Prairie Arts Unlimited organization, the packed house joined the wanna-be detective, played by junior Ethan Banman, and his overzealous wife, played by senior Brianne Smith to uncover the culprit who was murdering the family members one-by-one at Wilcox’s Bed and Breakfast where the reunion was being held. 
A hilarious questioning by the audience was led by the ghost of Aunt Gretchen, played by senior Meredith Rogers and assisted by her “ghostly” nephew and niece, played by junior Nolan Allison and sophomore Jessi Johnson to try to help the bumbling detective solve their murders.
Through a series of slapstick comedic turn of events, the murder was finally solved with the murderer stowed away in the freezer with the rest of the ghosts.  A surprising appearance by a group of Ghostbusters brought the evening to a close.
