LARNED — After a long absence, Larned High School once again is sponsoring a forensics team as an extracurricular activity.
Four Larned students qualified for the State Speech Festival in May in their first outing of the year at the Kinsley Tournament.
Larned’s Rachael Herter and Jacey Bishop placed fourth, and Shealon Calkins and Alex Lessard finished fifth in
Improvisational Duet Acting out of 25 competing teams. The team will compete May 4 in Class 4A State Speech and Drama Championship at Washburn Rural High School in Topeka.
The Larned forensics team will travel to Pratt in their next meet.
