HESSTON — Larned’s girls rolled past winless Hesston 21-2 and 22-9 for a softball sweep Tuesday. Larned (7-9, 7-9 CKL) plays at Kingman May 10. Hesston (0-14, 0-14 CKL) plays at Hoisington (11-5, 11-5 CKL) Friday.
LARNED 21, HESSTON 2 — Pitcher Mattie Glover permitted two runs and struck out five batters. Glover drove in four runs with two hits.
Kelsey Parr drove in three runs with three hits. Alea Makings and Ally Aldrich each delivered two hits and two runs batted in.
Erin Smith scored four runs and Aldrich, Haley Skelton and Tymarra Bryant each scored three runs.
Larned scored seven runs in the first inning and eight runs in the fourth inning. The Indians drilled six doubles.
LARNED 22, HESSTON 9 — Larned pitcher Alyssa Clark pitched four innings and allowed six runs.
Skelton drove in three runs with two hits. Baylea Perez, Aldrich, Aarika Bright, Glover, makings and Clark each drove in one run.
Larned scored six runs in the first inning and eight more in he fourth inning. The Indians delivered four doubles.
Hesston’s Kinsley Miller drove in there runs and Lauren Clark drove in two runs.
